Actual Budget is a privacy-focused, local-first personal finance application built around envelope budgeting. Cli>_ operates the server, HTTPS endpoint, persistent storage, and backups, and hands over the generated server password without writing it into GitOps YAML.
Actual Budget gives you a private sync server for budgets, accounts, transactions, categories, schedules, and reports. Import QIF, OFX, QFX, CAMT.053, or CSV data, use the official clients across devices, and optionally enable Actual Budget end-to-end encryption for budget data. Bank-sync providers and their accounts are separate customer-managed integrations.
